Signing the log will also place you on the Crew Roster if you are a former Vreeland sailor.
You need not be a former Vreeland sailor to sign the log
but the entry must have something to do with the ship, the Navy, a Vreeland family member, a former crew member, Or just a good ole "Thank you" to the veterans for serving .
Please note that if no comments or notes of interest are posted your entry will only be placed on the crew roster.
If you achieved Surface Warfare Specialist before or during your tour aboard Vreeland
please add the (SW)or (SWO) to your rank.
Please insure that your CAP Locks are turned off while filling out this form. All capitol letters are gaudy and out of uniform for the rest of the Log. In internet forums all CAP’S are considered “hollering”, if you would like to shout out a line or two, that’s o.k., but please, not a whole post.
Your post is important! Many fellow Vreeland sailors monitor the log weekly, waiting for a new sea story from an old shipmate. I feel many stories are waiting to be told but haven’t been written because a few of you aren’t comfortable with writing. "I quite-understand" and I’ll do my best to help you make a post if you will let me.
You know; the stories you tell your friends and relatives about when you were in the navy, just write it down and don’t be intimidated with grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Microsoft, MS Word is an excellent editing program but if your not acquainted with it, I’ll edit it for you
(without changing your own words)
So jump in and tell us what happened to you. This is about memories and fun, not critique!
